This file lists error messages possible during the Microsoft Windows
installation into your home Wabi directory.
--------------------------------------------------------

Can not allocate the memory from the global heap.

Wabi cannot get enough memory for the Microsoft Windows installation.
Make sure your system has sufficient memory to run Wabi (see
the Wabi User's Guide). Quit any X applications that may
be using a lot of memory and restart Wabi.

Can not lock the global memory.

Wabi cannot get enough memory for the Microsoft Windows
installation. Make sure your system has sufficient memory to
run Wabi (see the Wabi User's Guide). Quit any X applications
that may be using a lot of memory and restart Wabi.

Can not open file: <filename>

Wabi cannot open either the setup.inf file or the wabi_f.lst file.
The setup.inf file is located on the Microsoft Windows disk
	1. The wabi_f.lst file is located in the wbin subdirectory of
the Wabi system directory. Make sure that the specified file
exists and has at least read permission for all.

Can not proceed with running this program because a previously invoked instance of this program was detected.

The Windows Install program is already running. You can only
run one instance at a time.

Can not read file: <filename>

Wabi cannot read either the setup.inf file or the wabi_f.lst
file. The setup.inf file is located on the Microsoft Windows
disk 1. The wabi_f.lst file is located in the wbin
subdirectory of the Wabi system directory. The specified file
exists but is not readable, so it may have been corrupted.
You may need to reinstall Wabi or obtain a new copy of
	setup.inf.

Could not start the program: <program>, failed with error code: <xxx>

Wabi could not start the Windows Program Manager or the emuprog
program to expand the LZEXPAND file. There are many possible
causes for this error. Most likely the file could not be
found or there is not enough memory. The progman.exe should
reside in your personal wabi/windows directory, owned by you
with permissions rw-r--r--. The emuprog program should
reside in the bin subdirectory of your Wabi system directory,
owned by root with permissions rwxr-xr-x. If the file exists
with the right permissions, insufficient memory could cause
this problem. Quit any X applications that may be using a lot
	of memory and restart Wabi.

Install of Generic printer driver failed!

Wabi could not load the Microsoft Windows tty.drv file. Make
sure the tty.drv file is located in your personal
wabi/windows/system directory, and that you have read and
write permission to the file. Insufficient memory could also
cause this problem, so quit any X applications that may be
	using a lot of memory.

Install of PostScript printer driver failed!

Wabi could not load the Microsoft Windows pscript.drv file.
Make sure the pscript.drv file is located in your personal
wabi/windows/system directory, and that you have read and
write permission to the file. Insufficient memory could also
cause this problem, so quit any X applications that may be
	using a lot of memory.

Not enough disk space to install Windows. Microsoft Windows 3.1 or
3.11 requires 6.8 megabytes, and Microsoft Windows for Workgroup 3.11
requires 11.9 megabytes.

You do not have adequate space in the directory where your
personal wabi directory is located (usually your home
directory). You must free up the required space and restart
	Wabi in order to continue.

Unable to complete processing of the UNIX script: <script-name>

Wabi was unable to execute WABIHOME/lib/wiscript, or was
unable to detect script completion by reading a file in your
home wabi/tmp directory. Make sure you have execute
permission for WABIHOME/lib/wiscript, and that your
	wabi/tmp directory has rwxr-xr-x permission.

Unable to copy source file from path: <pathname>

Wabi cannot copy a Microsoft Windows file from the specified path.
Make sure you have write permission to the directory to which
	you are installing Windows.

Unable to decompress file: <filename>

Wabi cannot decompress the Windows LZEXPAND file. Wabi must write to
your /tmp directory during the decompression, so make sure
you have write permission to /tmp, and that your /tmp directory has
not run out of space. Another possible cause of this error is
insufficient memory, so quit any X applications that may
be using a lot of memory.

Unable to display main dialog.

Wabi is out of memory or corrupted. Quit any X applications
that may be using a lot of memory and restart Wabi. If you
are running the Windows Install program from the icon (rather
than running it as part of your first startup of the Wabi
program), you may have too many Windows applications running
and using memory. Close out of all Windows applications.

Unable to find or parse the Windows' setup.inf section: <section-name>

Wabi cannot find the specified section in the setup.inf file.
The setup.inf file is probably corrupted. You may need to obtain a
new copy of setup.inf, which is located on the Microsoft
	Windows disk 1.

Unable to load help text.

Wabi is out of memory. Quit any X applications that may be using a
lot of memory and restart Wabi. If you are running the
Windows Install program from the icon (rather than running it
as part of your first startup of the Wabi program), you may
have too many Windows applications running and using memory.
Close out of all Windows applications.

Unable to load library: <filename>

Wabi could not load the LZEXPAND library (lzexpand.dll) for
decompressing Microsoft Windows files. If you do not have at
least 20 megabytes of swap space, you must increase the swap
space and restart Wabi. (See your system administrator or
your UNIX manuals for the procedure for increasing swap
	space.)

Unable to locate or access Windows setup file: setup.inf

Wabi cannot find the Microsoft Windows setup information file,
setup.inf, in the location you specified. If you're
installing from diskette, make sure you inserted Microsoft
Windows disk 1. If you're installing from a UNIX drive, make
sure you have specified the correct directory. If the
directory location is correct, make sure the setup.inf exists
and has read and write permission for all (-rw-rw-rw-).

Unable to locate the Program Manager window.

Insufficient memory could cause this problem. Quit any X applications
that may be using a lot of memory and restart Wabi. If
memory is not the problem, the X server may have a problem.
Quit Wabi and exit your desktop to stop the X server. Restart
	the desktop.

Unable to obtain system resources to continue this task.

Insufficient memory could cause this problem. Quit any X
applications that may be using a lot of memory and restart
Wabi. If there is sufficient memory, the X server may have a
problem. Quit Wabi and exit your desktop to stop the X
	server. Restart the desktop.

Wabi 2.1 supports Microsoft Windows 3.1, Microsoft Windows 3.11, and
Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11 only. You are installing an
unsupported version.

You cannot install Microsoft Windows 3.0 or earlier
	versions.
