You can setup IDpack to work in local or in network in the [Badge Setup] menu.
You can select a wide variety of badge sizes, or specify a custom badge size. To access the Badge Format, click on [Badge Setup] in the top menu.

IDpack support more than 30 paper format from all around the world.
You can choose from a list of 23 types of barcodes in IDpack Designer.
You can associate 10 colors with 10 descriptions that will assign a security level to each type of badge holder, as required.
If you use IDpack in a network, we strongly recommend that you create a [Map Drive] on each station pointing to the server. We always use the following standard Z:\ as a map letter.
You can use the server to produce badges like a local computer, but we strongly recommend not to do so. If the server crashes for some reason, all networked stations will stop working too.
IDpack uses the extension .idp for (IDpack Project) to save your layout and the extension .idt for (IDpack Template).
We encourage everyone to share their badge designs by distributing the .idt files (with the .bmp graphics files) freely on the Internet. Check our Web site (www.aptika.com) for new designs and templates.
If you want to share your templates with others, we suggest you use a file compression utility like WinZip to pack all the files needed for the template together (.idt and *.bmp).
You can press ESC to select the Pick Tool in IDpack Designer Workspace.
You can right-click on a object and get a pop-up menu with shortcut commands.
You can add a border around the Barcode in the Barcode properties screen or by using the right-click pop-up menu.
When you select an object, you can always use the right button on the mouse to get a floating menu with more options and the ability to change the order of the objects shown on the badge.
You can change the units mesure to Inches, Centimeters or Millimeters in the [Options] menu.
IDpack Pro uses a [Microsoft Access 2000] database to manage badges. You can setup many options for the Database in the [Options] menu.
To use color codes with your badge, you must place at least one of the following objects : [Color Code Tool], [Dynamic Graphic Tool] or [Dynamic Text Tool].
You can print a black border around the badge in IDpack Producer by check the options in the [Badge Setup] menu.
The [Workspace] of IDpack Designer is where you design your Badge. You must use the Toolbar on the left to put objects onto the [Workspace].
